AFTER HOURS
Thanks to our 24 hour answering service, there is always a physician on call from home. If your child becomes acutely ill and you cannot wait until the next morning to speak with a physician, call our office number and follow the prompt for the answering service phone number. This service is available after regular hours, on weekends, and holidays.
***Please note: On-call line is not for prescribing medications, scheduling appointments, or refilling existing prescriptions. If your child is sick and requires a prescription, please report directly to PM Pediatrics or Urgent Care***
Office Protocol
Dear Parents,
Your children's health and well being is our top priority here at Rutherford Pediatrics. That is why we are taking the following steps:

We are offering telemedicine appointments for existing patients in order to reduce exposure to germs and pathogens. These telemedicine appointments extend to prenatal visits.

Masks are not required, but are encouraged to be worn by all individuals ages 2+.

WHY RUTHERFORD PEDIATRICS?
Quality
Our practice offers comprehensive care from infancy to young adulthood. Our staff is highly trained and believes that the best care is given when there is an active relationship between the primary care provider and the family.
Availability
We are here Monday to Friday from 8 am to 8 pm and Saturdays 8 am to 2 pm. For after-hours emergencies, our providers are available on-call by calling our main number. Same day sick appointments are available each day and we welcome patients with chronic problems such as asthma or developmental difficulties.
Complete Care
We will work with you to promote health and positive quality of life as your child grows and develops into an adult. Our services are designed to ensure healthy development by: screening for health conditions, administering immunizations against common illnesses, counseling parents on nutrition, safety, and other important topics, and diagnosing and managing acute chronic illnesses.
